Things I Love- #1

I love to read people's blogs. It's so much fun. And I have to admit it that I love when they come up with something creative that tells me a little bit about the writer. One of my most recent finds is a blog of a friend of a friend and i find her very funny, artsy and well....funny. On her blog she has what's called "I think it's perfectly normal". In these random posts she tells us a little something about herself in a very fun way. I think I laugh every time I read one of the "perfectly normal" posts. It's bring a bit of sunshine into my day.
So instead of making a resolution for the new year that would probably be broken by the end of week one....I thought, why not do something like "it's perfectly normal" ?

So my list, for now until I can come up with something better (if you have ideas....comment my way), is called, "Things I love".

These random posts will be things that I absolutely love, that are probably completely unnecessary to living life, but things I wouldn't want to live without. These are things that could vie for the top spot on the "if you could take one thing with you....what would it be?" List.

So here goes........
My UGGS

I absolutely love my Uggs.  Their soft cushy insides bring joy to my toesies in a way that no other slipper does. They don't slip off and sound like you are shuffling down the hospital hallway. They are also double agents of their  kind. They act like slippers, but once put on and walked into the real world they pass as regular shoes.

What other shoe does that?

So I ask......Who doesn't want their feet to be surrounded by such sheer coziness that can be used as an accessory to PJ's AND cute Jeans?

... my down comforter.

when i joined the peace corps, i had the regular two pieces of luggage for two years. i went to IKEA and bought a down comforter and took it with me. even tho it was hot there, it was such a good thing for me. a comfortable bed has always been my place of safety... so that is one thing i absolutely love.

question about your uggs... do they make your feet smell? i heard the real ones do not, but i'd be afraid of that. brian would clown on me for getting a pair, but i've always considered it.

I LOVE my UGGS too!!!! They are the most comfortable "shoes" ever. I wear them to work sometimes on really cold days (but don't tell anyone). :)

What a fun topic my friend. It makes me try to think of something that I love.....this is what came to mind first.
My BLUE COMB with green tips....I have had it since 7th grade, it has large teeth and I have used it just about every singe day since I got it (my best friend at the time got the same one :>). It's sole purpose is to comb through my hair when it's wet, right after taking a shower. It's so useful, holds so many memories, travels with me wherever I go overnight, and is quite durable (22 yrs old, amazing!). Thanks for stirring the thought, I'm so grateful for my comb! Can't wait to learn more about what you love.

I'm SO with you on the Ugg boots. I love mine! I don't have the real ones - but that's okay. I love how squishy soft they are.

I think they're the friendliest of all my shoes.

They never pinch my toes, they don't give me bunions or blisters and they go with every pair of jeans I own.

So yay. YAY for uggs! And yay for your new Blog Series. I'm very much looking forward to reading more about what you love! :)

my blue pair of sweats that i bought when i was pregnant and are 3 sizes too big for me. but i still wear them. sometimes even to target. yes, they are that cozy.

i also like to pair them with a pair of slippers from brookstone that my ya (Celeste) bought me for my birthday 3 years ago. they are super cozy, even with a hole in each one that my big toe now peeks out of.

Uggs?!?!? Ewwwww. I love you, but I refuse to love your Uggs. They're right up there with skinny jeans and guys with long bangs in their face - Basically, they all should be confined to the high school campus. :P

LOVE my uggs!! unfortunately Diane and Sissy, I do know of one person's Uggs who make their feet smell. now mind you it could be cuz he's coming out of the shower and didn't dry his feet, or he still has that gross hockey smell from practice. but none the less his Uggs.....SMELL!!!!!!

Hmm I don't have Uggs.

But I do have Jason's college sweatshirt from 1999 that I pull out and sniff often; reminds me of those care free dayz.

...look forward to your next "love story"...

diane after thinking about it for awhile i became annoyed that the Uggs in question are only 3 months old. so i called Uggs. they have never heard of making anyone's feet smell. so back to nordy's i go to exchange the Uggs with the green cloud!
